The short version

Mutaala is a reading tool that works without an account. The text you paste is kept only in your own browser (localStorage). It is never uploaded, stored on our servers, read by us, or shared with anyone.

What we do collect

• Anonymous usage stats (page views, country, device type) via privacy-friendly analytics. You can opt out any time in Settings. No page content or pasted text is ever measured.
• Account data — only if you choose to sign up: your name, email address, and (for Google sign-in) the basic profile Google shares. This lets us sync your preferences across devices.
• Preferences you set (theme, reading options) are stored in your browser and, when signed in, on your account.

Advertising

This site may show advertisements provided by Google AdSense in the future. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's data privacy policy is available at policies.google.com. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads. Ads are never shown inside the reading canvas.

Hosting & security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare's global network. Standard security practices apply (HTTPS everywhere). We never ask for, and never store, the content you read or paste.

Your rights

If you have an account, you can request export or deletion of your data any time by emailing support@mutaala.app. We reply within 48 hours. Children under 13 should use this site with a parent's guidance.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where we have your email, notify you.
